The CUHK-UC San Diego Joint Laboratory on Chinese Economy was pleased to support and co-sponsor the 3rd ACES Political Economy Summer School, marking its inaugural presence in Asia.

A notable highlight of this year’s summer school was the keynote and public lectures delivered by distinguished scholars Professor Ekaterina Zhuravskaya (Paris School of Economics) and Professor Sergei Guriev (Sciences Po) on Sunday, August 18, 2024 at Innoport, The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Their thought-provoking presentations, titled ‘Fighting Misinformation on Social Media’ and ‘Political Economy of Populism’, respectively, stimulated lively discussions among the attendees, thereby enriching their understanding of these complex ideological topics.
